At the moment, there’s not that many Windows 10 devices out of the box that consumers can choose from. That is, until a couple of weeks ago, when the Toshiba Satellite Click 10 was announced. The device has a 10-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.

The internals of the device is composed of an Intel Atom X5 processor, 2GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card. There’s also a 2MP camera at the front and 8MP shooter at the back.

Toshiba has equipped the Click 10 with its TruTalk microphone, stereo speakers with Dolby Digital Plus technology, a micro HDMI port and an external keyboard dock that sports two full-sized USB ports.

The Toshiba Satellite Click 10 is now available on pre-order and will retail for $349.99. The device will start shipping by the end of the month.

7-inch tablets has long been under Android territory, and so far, droids have kept Windows 8 at bay just outside the 8-inch wall. But Toshiba has just broken some barriers and released a 7-inch tablet that’s running on Windows 8.1 – the Encore 7.

The tablet’s 7-inch display sports a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels with a pixel density of 170ppi. Toshiba has packed the Encore 7 with an Intel Atom Z3735 chip with 1GB of RAM and a 1.33GHz quad-core processor. There’s 16GB of internal storage which most likely be expandable using a microSD card.

Toshiba hasn’t provided much information about the Encore 7, but we’ll probably hear more about this device in the weeks ahead. As for pricing, we expect the Encore 7 to have a price tag close to $200.

Toshiba’s concept convertible that we saw at CES back in January has finally materialized in the form of the Kirabook L93, which the Japanese company unveiled this week at Computex in Taipei.

The Kirabook L93 is basically another iteration of the Lenovo Yoga design but with an additional two modes. Aside from the typical laptop, tablet, display and tent modes, the L93 has a display mode where the keyboard is detached and an inclined tablet mode that’s something pen users might love.

Toshiba has equipped the Kirabook L93 with an Intel Core i5 Haswell processor, 128GB SSD and 8GB of RAM.

The L93 is packing a 13-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 250 x 1440 pixels and full island style keyboard. Obviously, this keyboard will have a power supply of its own but Toshiba hasn’t disclosed how it would connect to the main unit and how it will be charged.

There’s no trackpad available on the device, but there will be small left and right click buttons at the lower portion of the keyboard. The cursor is moved using a joystick placed at the middle of the keyboard.

The device is now available in Japan for $2600 but there’s no word yet when the laptop will reach other markets. Nonetheless, we’ll keep our eyes and ears open for more news about the L93.

Multi-mode laptops are definitely a trend these days. After Lenovo’s successful Yoga line, other manufacturers such as Acer and HP have followed and have released their own flavours of the wonder hinge that allows Lenovo Yoga devices to have up to five different modes.

Toshiba is the latest to adopt the design with its upcoming Satellite Radius. The device will be powered by either a Core i5 or i7 processor complemented by 8GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. The Radius will have a 15-inch display as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Harman Kardon speakers and a Sleep/Charge USB 3.0 port.

But of course the highlight of the Satellite Radius would have to be its transformable properties. Just like Lenovo’s Yoga, the Radius is capable of converting itself into five different modes including the traditional notebook/tablet interface, a Presentation mode (tent mode), Audience mode (screen is flipped beyond 180 degrees) and a Tabletop mode where the device lays flat on the table.

But unlike the Yoga, has a detachable display/head unit which effectively transforms the Satellite into a 15-inch tablet (similar to Acer’s Aspire Switch 10). The Toshiba Satellite Radius will be available in July in the U.S. starting at $926.

Toshiba has recently announced a new laptop at this year’s CES that blasts its competition out of the water – that is, in terms of display.

The Japanese company’s Satellite P50t boasts a 15.6-inch display with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels and a pixel density of 282ppi. The laptop’s internals is composed of either a Core i5 or Core i7 processor, and probably Nvidia graphics and at least 2GB of RAM.

Another 4K-display laptop on Toshiba’s display at CES is the Tecra W50 Workstation. This laptop also comes with a 15.6-inch display and resolution as the Satellite P50t. It comes with a 4^th generation Intel CPU, 2GB of RAM and an Nvidia graphics.

There’s no word on pricing and availability yet, but Toshiba says the two laptops should be available by mid-2014.

Lastly, Toshiba also gave us a sneak peak of its 5-in-1 concept laptop that takes the concept of 2-in-1 hybrids to the next level with up to 5 transformations including: a standard notebook and tablet mode, a canvas mode and a Presentation/TV mode.

The device comes with two USB ports, a microSD card slot, and a mini-HDMI port. The laptop also comes with a digitizer that works best with the canvas mode, and there’s Harman Kardon speakers that sits to a bit of metal attached to the screen’s hinge. The internals on the other hand are yet to be announced; anyway this laptop is a concept after all.

It’s been a while since our last rumour meals article so this time, we’ll be giving an update on the latest news circling rumour land, specifically a new Nexus handset, a new tablet from a chip manufacturer and news about a Windows Phone phablet.

Our first news comes from the United States, through a FCC document. A recent FCC filing by LG for a device called D820 has spurred speculations that the Korean manufacturer will once again be partnering with Google for the next-generation Nexus phone.

Images of the back panel of the D820 from FCC shows the different components of the device, including the wireless charging coil and the characteristic oversized hole for the camera lens that looks almost identical in size and position on the reported Nexus phone spotted during the Android KitKat statue unveiling last week.

The document also provides some interesting information about the device, which hints that the device will have a 5-inch-ish screen. Also, the firmware used for the tests was noted as M8974A-0.0.19.0.0.1, which points to a Snapdragon 800 chipset.

Google is scheduled to announce the new Nexus phone next month along with its chosen manufacturer.

Meanwhile, in another FCC filing, this time by Nvidia, we see a 7-inch tablet rumoured to be the Tegra Tab.

The tablet will have a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 xx 800 pixels and will be powered by a 3200-4100mAh battery. There will also be a 5MP camera at the back of the device and a stylus. Obviously, the tablet will have an Nvidia chip – possibly a Tegra 4 and will run on apparently a stock or near-stock version of Android Jelly Bean.

Again, there’s no word yet on the other specifications as well as pricing and availability for the tablet. It’s also uncertain if Nvidia will be marketing the Tegra Tab under its own brand just like the Shield gaming handheld or it would partner with other manufacturers in a Nexus-ish way.

Last, but certainly not the least is news about Nokia’s upcoming phablet – the Bandit, which is now believed to be the Lumia 1520.

A few days ago, images of the purported device were spotted in the wild by The Verge. The leaked images matches the profile and design elements seen on an earlier image render of the phablet.

Other details about the Lumia 1520 include a 6-inch display (as seen on the leaked photo in which the phablet lays side-by-side with a Sony Xperia Z1), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in memory and a large microSD card.

The phone will most likely run on Windows Phone 8 with the highly anticipated GDR3 update.
