While Lenovo has its Thinkpad series, Dell has its Latitude line of devices for the enterprise market. At this years Consumers Electronics Show, the company has refreshed this line by bringing features from its highly successful XPS line into its Latitude devices.

Three of the most noteworthy products include the Dell Latitude 13 7000, the Dell Latitude 12 7000 and the Dell Latitude 11 5000.

The biggest of the three is the 13-inch business-class Ultrabook. The device is made from either carbon fiber or machined aluminum and sports same InfinityEdge display from the XPS line. The Latitude 13 also comes with an industry-standard USB Type-C port that allows the laptop to use a single cable for docking, power, video, audio and data.

Dell has also added a Thunderbolt 3 port to enable faster data transfer speeds. As the Latitude line is meant for business users, the device boasts a number of enterprise features including a fingerprint reader, RFID reader as well as security and encryption software.

For businesses looking to give their employees a 2-in-1, Dell is offering the Latitude 12 7000. The company claims that this is one of the lightest 12.5-inch convertible in the market. The device uses magnets to connect the main unit and the keyboard, which can come in two styles.

On one hand there’s a slim keyboard that features full-sized, well-spaced backlit chiclet keys that are lightweight and offers a variety of angles. There’s also a Premium keyboard that comes with a high-precision gesture touchpad. The Latitude 12 7000 is also one of the first 2-in-1 convertible to have a 4K UHD touch display.

Finally, we have the Latitude 11 5000. It is the smallest of the trio with a 10.8-inch display and comes with a number of security and manageability features such as comprehensive encryption, advanced authentication, malware prevention and automated system deployment, monitoring and updating. The laptop is constructed using premium materials such as magnesium and hardened glass.

Other Dell products featured on Dell’s booth at CES include a 30-inch OLED monitor that supports USB Type-C connection, a pair of Quad HD monitors that have InfinityEdge displays and even a wireless 23 and 24-inch monitors.

The Dell Latitude 13 7000 will be available starting March 8 in the United States for $1299 while the Latitude 12 7000 and Latitude 11 5000 will be available starting February for $1049 and $749 respectively. The new Dell monitors on the other hand, specifically the UltraSharp wireless monitor and the UltraSharp OLED display will be available on March 31 for $429 and $4999 respectively.

HP had a trio of interesting devices at its booth in CES 2016. The company unlike other brands that focused on gaming has decided to stick with what they do best – media and enterprise machines.

First up, we have the HP Pavilion x2 – a 12-inch convertible with an Intel processor (either an Atom or Core M), either 128GB or 256GB of flash storage and a battery pack that can last up to 8 hours.

The 12-inch screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels. The device is of the detachable type and features a magnetic hinge that allows the display to be flipped around depending on what mode the user wants. Connectivity-wise, the device sports a full-sized USB 2.0 port, a micro HDMI port and a USB Type-C port.

The HP Pavilion x2 will be available starting next month for $499.99.

For those who want a bigger and better display, HP has also introduced the 15.6-inch Spectre X360 from last year. This version also has a bumped up resolution at 4K.

Other notable features of the device include the latest generation Intel Core processors, up to 512GB SSD, Intel Iris graphics, a USB Type-C port, Mini DisplayPort, three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port, a 13-hour battery pack as well as Band & Olufsen speakers.

The HP Spectre X360 15-inch will go on sale next month for $1149.

Lastly, we have the EliteBook Folio G1 – a 12-inch UltraBook which many are saying is HP’s answer to the 2015 Apple MacBook. When looking at the device’s design and form factor, it’s not hard to compare it to Apple’s baby laptop.

The device sports Intel’s newest Skylake Intel Core processors, which is complemented by 8GB of RAM and a choice of PCIe SSD storage. The laptop also comes with a couple of USB Type-C, an optional fingerprint reader, Bang & Olufsen tuned speakers and a choice between 4K and FHD display.

The HP EliteBook Folio G1 will be available starting March for $1099 for the base model.

LG’s announcements at CES were mostly about a couple of laptops and a very interesting new technology that the company is pioneering.

The first will be the LG Gram, which was announced a couple of months ago. The new model that was showcased at CES is a 15.6-inch model (15Z960) with Full HD resolution. The Gram 15Z960 comes with the latest generation Intel Core processors, up to 512GB SSD, Hi-Fi speakers, 8GB of RAM and Windows 10 out of the box.

Connectivity-wise, the LG Gram sports a USB Type-C port along with an HDMI, USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports and a microSD card reader. The device sports a design that’s very close to Apple’s Macbook with the same thin profile and metal construction.

Also on display at LG’s booth at the event is the 15U560 laptop – another 15.6-inch laptop, but unlike the Gram, this one sports a 4K (3840 x 2160) display. The device also comes with Harman Kardon speakers, 8GB of RAM, an NVidia 940M graphics and up to 1TB of storage.

Apart from the specs mentioned above, not much is known about this laptop including its pricing and availability.

At last year’s CES, Razer introduced a number of devices that’s meant not entirely for gaming but more for personal content consumption. This year, the company is sticking to its roots by announcing new products that will certainly pique the interest of hardcore gamers.

The star of the show this year is the company’s latest gaming laptop – the Razer Stealth. This laptop is Razer’s first Ultrabook weighing only 2.75 pounds. The device is manufactured from CNC aircraft grade aluminum.

The Blade Stealth comes with a 12.5-inch touchscreen display with resolution options for 4K and QHD. Consumers will also be able to choose between a 128GB and 512GB SSD.

Regardless of which configuration you choose, all Razer Blade Stealth models come equipped with the latest generation Core i7 processor, 8GB of dual-channel memory, a Thunderbolt 3 port, a full-size HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports and a headphone/mic combo port.

The Blade Stealth’s keyboard is individually backlit and users will be able to control the color of light that will be displayed much like the company’s Chroma products.

Unlike the original Razer Blade laptops, the Blade Stealth doesn’t come with its own GPU. Instead, it relies on a separate unit called the Razer Core. The device uses a single Thunderbolt 3 connection and can hold one two-slot desktop graphics cards. It also has a USB 3.0 hub and a gigabit Ethernet port.

Razer has also unveiled a new product called the Stargazer. It’s a laptop webcam that allows gamers to mimic a green screen setup. The device uses Intel’s RealSense technology in order to crop the background for a cleaner look when they’re video is posted on Twitch or YouTube.

The Stargazer is also capable of capturing 720p video at 60fps which is optimized for streaming. It can also record video at 1080p30 for video conferencing. The device also comes with automatic noise cancelling dual array mic, 3D scanning, facial and gesture recognition and a flexible clip for laptops and desktop monitors.

Oh and by the way, Razer has teamed up with Lenovo for a gaming desktop – the IdeaCentre Y900 Razer Edition. The desktop PC comes with Intel’s Core i7 processor, up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM, a discrete NVidia Graphics card and up to 2TB of HDD storage with 256GB SSD.

The IdeaCentre Y900 RE is basically the same as the Y900 that Lenovo has, with the exception of Razer’s Chroma Spectrum lighting. Lenovo has also created a Razer variant of the Y27g curved monitor again with the same Chroma lighting feature.

The Razer Stargazer will be available starting Q2 of 2016 for $199.99, while the Razer Blade Stealth will be priced at $999. No word yet on pricing for the Razer Core and the Y900 RE.

Lenovo’s doing a lot of things for its ThinkPad line on CES this year. The company has launched a number of new products at the event including an array of ThinkPad laptops, an AIO, a ThinkPad tablet and even a mobile projector.

Headlining the announcement is the ThinkPad X1 Yoga, which as the name implies belongs to the company’s convertible line of laptops. The device comes with a 14-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, a Core i7 Pro processor, Intel HD Graphics HD 520, 16GB of RAM and PCIe NVMe storage options.

The device can also come with optional LTE and features Lenovo’s WRITEit technology that allows users to use their handwriting to input characters across different apps.

The ThinkPad X1 Yoga will retail for $1,439.10 starting this month.

On the other hand, those looking for a more traditional form factor can look at the new ThinkPad X1 Carbon. The new model replaces the X1 Carbon from last year and sports Intel’s 6^th generation Core i7 vPro processor, up to 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD storage and Intel HD520 graphics.

The laptop also features a number of USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, a microSD card reader and the staple fingerprint reader for its business users. The device also comes with a 52Whr battery that should last for around 11 hours, a 720p webcam and dual-microphones.

Lenovo will start selling the new X1 Carbon starting next month for $1299.

The company is also bringing the projector from the Yoga Tab 3 Pro that was announced at IFA to its ThinkPad line with the ThinkPad X1 tablet. But unlike the Yoga slate, this model does it through the use of modules that attach to the tablet’s base.

The tablet sports a 12-inch 2K display, an adjustable kickstand, integrated speakers with Dolby Surround sound technology and supports Lenovo’s WRITEit technology.

Other modules designed for the tablet allows the device to have its own keyboard, added battery life, additional ports and even Intel’s RealSense 3D camera. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 table will also be available starting February for $899.

The company’s ThinkVision line is also getting a new member. Dubbed as the world’s slimmest 4K2K display, the Lenovo ThinkVision X1 has a 27-inch screen that allows users to see over 1 billion colors. The monitor also features 300 nits of brightness, a 1300:1 contrast ratio and a response time of 6ms.

The monitor also comes with a USB Type-C connection, a DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0, a built-in USB hub with four USB 3.0 ports, two 3-watt speakers, a dual array microphone and an integrated Full HD webcam with its own privacy cover.

Lenovo will start shipping the ThinkVision X1 by March for $799.

Lastly, we have the Lenovo ThinkCentre X1 with its 23.8-inch Full HD display. The AIO comes with an Intel Core i7 Pro processor, Windows 10 Pro operating system, integrated speakers with Dolby audio, a 1080p webcam and several options for storage and RAM.

The new ThinkCentre X1 will sell for $1029 when it becomes available in March.

The Consumer Electronics Show – the biggest tech tradeshow in the world just kicked off this week. One of the first big names to unveil its latest slew of products is Acer, and the company didn’t disappoint by announcing upgrades and a few new products at the event.

First up, there’s the updated Aspire V Nitro Black edition, which comes as an upgrade over last year’s model. This new version comes with Intel’s RealSense camera technology as well as its newest Skylake CPUs.

The graphics and storage departments have also seen an update with an NVidia GTX960M chip and enterprise-grade PCIe SSDs. The laptop also comes with four TruHarmony Plus speakers with Dolby Audio and will sell in the US for around $1099 starting February.

Also receiving an upgrade this year is the company’s 2-in-1 convertible – the Switch 12. This year’s model is now an S version and just like the Aspire V Nitro BE, this convertible is also getting Intel’s RealSense camera technology as well as new generation Intel Core processors (Core M).

The notebook will also have options for 4K or Full HD resolution and will feature a Gorilla Glass 4 glass cover and Zero Air Gap technology for improved viewing experience. It will also come with a single USB 3.1 Type-C Thunderbolt connector and the same TruHarmony Dolby Audio premium technology as the Aspire V Nitro BE.

The Acer Aspire Switch 12 S will sell for $999 in the US starting next month.

Another product getting a refresh this year at CES (or to be more precise a product that’s being slightly repurposed) is the kid-friendly Iconia One 8. The tablet was initially intended for use in the classroom with Google’s Education platform but is now being repurposed for general use for children.

The tablet will launch with Acer’s Kids Center app that sports a child-friendly UI with content specifically meant for kids. These include games, videos, books and websites as well as special features for parents to control the content their child has access to while using the tablet.

Specs-wise, the tablet is identical to the One 8 that was released last year with 1GB of RAM, Intel Atom processor, 16GB of internal storage and a 5MP+2MP camera combo.

Acer has also released new products at the event including a new TravelMate laptop, an Iconia tablet and a new monitor line.

The Acer TravelMate P648 is a 14-inch laptop that sports a glass and carbon fiber lid. The device comes with Intel’s latest CPU, 512GB SSD, an optional NVidia GeForce 840M GPU, a Thunderbolt 3 connector and a plethora of connectors and posts including a DisplayPort, DVI, HDMI, VGA connectors and a two USB 3.0 ports.

The TravelMate P648 will be available starting April for around $799.99.

Another product that’s making a debut at CES is the new H7 monitor series, which is the first monitors to support a USB Type-C connector. Apart from this, the new line of monitors will also have HDMI 2.0 and WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution.

As a USB Type-C user, the monitor will also be able other devices if in case they use the Type-C connector. The monitor supports 100 percent of the sRGB gamut keeping color accuracy as high as possible.

The Acer H7 monitor line will be available starting next month starting at $500.
