A few weeks ago, Microsoft announced that they will be dropping the Nokia brand off the future generation of Lumia smartphones. This week, we see probably the first Nokia brand-free model from Microsoft as it passes through the Chinese TENAA website.

Bearing the model number RM-1090, the Lumia phone will reportedly have a 5-inch display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, a 1900mAh battery and two SIM card slots. Information on specs aren’t available yet, but based on the images, it looks like this device will be geared towards the entry-level and mid-range market as its design is closer to lower-end Nokia Lumias.

As this an entry-level device, connectivity is limited to 3G only. Even though the price isn’t confirmed yet, it’s likely that it will be priced competitively so as to compete with Google’s upcoming Android One lineup.

Nokia’s Selfie Lumia has finally revealed itself to the world last week in Berlin. And just like what earlier rumors suggested, the phone will officially have the Lumia 730 model name. Nokia will also be offering a dual-SIM version called the Lumia 735 which will also cater to budget-conscious users.
Both phones will have a 4.7-inch ClearBlack display with 720p resolution, a Snapdragon 400 chipset with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The camera at the back has a 6.7MP sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. Meanwhile the camera upfront is a 5MP snapper with a wide-angle 24mm lens.

The Lumia 730 will come with 3G and will sell for around $260 while the LTE-enabled Lumia 735 will retail for a little over $280.
Those with a bit more money and wants a more powerful hardware could settle for Nokia’s new mid-ranger – the Lumia 830. Just like the 730s this handset has appeared previously in image leaks.
The Lumia 830 is packing a 5-inch IPS LCD panel with ClearBlack technology and sports 720p resolution (~294ppi) and is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, there’s a Snapdragon 400 chipset with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage.

There’s a 10MP PureView camera at the back with Carl Zeiss optics, an optical image stabilization, autofocus and LED flash and is capable of recording Full HD clips. Meanwhile, there’s a 0.09MP camera at the front that is capable of recording HD video. 
The 830 will be powered by a 2200mAh battery (with support for wireless charging) and will run the latest version of Windows Phone 8.1. It will be available later this month for around $430.

Nokia’s jumping into the selfie bandwagon with an upcoming smartphone that is expected to be the successor of 2013’s Lumia 720 – the Lumia 730.
The device has been previously codenamed as the “Superman” and boasts a 4.7-inch display with HD resolution, a 2000mAh battery, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
At the back of the phone is a 6.5MP camera with flash while at the selfie camera at the front has a 5MP snapper. As shown on the leaked image, the Lumia 730 will run on a version of Windows Phone called Lumia Debian Red, which is possibly a codename for Nokia’s next Windows Phone update following cyan.
There’s no word yet on when the Finnish company will announce the handset but given images of a functional device has already surfaced, we don’t expect it will take that long. There’s also a rumoured Lumia 830 that has been seen just a few weeks ago.

Nokia has just announced the successor to its highly successful entry-level Windows Phone – the Nokia Lumia 530.

The phone is built around a 4-inch LCD display with an 854 x 480 pixel resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The chipset installed on the Lumia 530 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and an Adreno 302 GPU. RAM is still at 512MB while internal storage capacity has been reduced to 4GB (supports microSD card).

Nokia has installed a 5MP fixed focus camera at the back of the handset with a 1/4" sensor that records 854 x 480 videos. The phone will also have a 1430mAh battery and will run on Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box.

The Lumia 530 will come have a single-SIM and a dual-SIM versions. It will be available starting August for around $115.

Nokia has been making a lot of people scratch their heads lately. Not only did the Finnish company undergo an acquisition by Microsoft, but it also started producing Android phones.

Now, rumor has it that the company is egging another surprise in the form of Android-driven Lumia phones. The rumor was courtesy of popular tipster @evleaks through his Twitter account.

Nokia’s line of Lumia phones has always been powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone, which is the reason why the company introduced the X-line of smartphones. However, it could be related to the recent branding that was seen on the alleged Lumia 830 that shows a “Nokia by Microsoft” branding.

And although @evleaks has a stellar reputation when it comes to having inside information, it’s still quite peculiar for Microsoft to get invested on Android. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see how things will push through.

Microsoft’s influence over Nokia might soon materialize on one of the upcoming Lumia handsets of the Finnish phone maker.

Today, images of a new Lumia smartphone surfaced at the Chinese website Weibo, which show a device surrounded by a metallic frame with a polycarbonate back, much like the design of the Lumia 930. A black circle is seen on the back of the device which houses the camera (with flash), which lays flush with the back.

The leaked smartphone is expected to be Nokia’s new mid-range model and will likely replace the Lumia 820 as the Lumia 830. Details of the specs of the phone remain on murky waters, so we still need to wait for more information to fall between the cracks to get a better picture of what this new phone has to offer.

Naturally, Nokia (or Microsoft) hasn’t commented on the leaked image. Aside from the Lumia 830, the Finnish company is also reportedly planning to release three other handsets including a two low-end to mid-range devices and a top-tier smartphone codenamed McLaren.

Nokia’s next-generation Lumia handset codenamed McLaren will allegedly bear unique features which stems from the recent acquisition of Nokia by Microsoft.

According to reports by the WPCentral and The Verge, the Finnish company’s future line of Lumia devices will have Kinect-like gestures that enable touchless control on a phone. The feature can be called as 3D Touch or Real Motion and will use the phones sensors coupled with software optimizations and algorithm in order to work.

With Real Motion, users can simply hover a finger over the phone to get additional information or activate a certain feature on the device. Nokia may also use interactions with the sides of the device to activate certain functions on a smartphone. For instance, gripping the phone will automatically wake it or power it on.

Moreover, 3D touch will use a device’s sensors to evaluate when the phone or certain features of the phone are needed. For instance, a 3D Touch-enabled handset can lock itself when it detects the user has put the phone in his pocket, or put a call in speakerphone when the user places the phone on a table.

There’s no specific ETA on when such features will be built into Windows Phone handsets, but the earliest time would either be in the next Windows Phone update or when a new handset (McLaren) is released.
