Apart from its business-oriented ThinkPad series, Lenovo has also unveiled a slew of new products for the consumer and gaming market. These include its IdeaPad line and its gamer-focused Y-series.

For starters we have the IdeaPad 710S. The IdeaPad 710S features the latest generation Intel Core processor (up to Core i7) and runs on Windows 10 Home edition.

The laptops sports a 13.3-inch QHD+ (3200 x 1800) display and features a narrow 5mm bezels. Lenovo is also giving consumers the option to get an Intel Iris graphics.

Other notable features of the IdeaPad 710S include two USB 3.0 ports, a micro-HDMI out, a 4-in-1 card reader, an audio combo jack, built-in JBL stereo speakers, Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth v4.0.

Then there’s the Lenovo Yoga line. The series is made up of three models – the Yoga 700, Yoga 900 and the Yoga 900S. The trio offers flexibility in terms of specs and pricing that should allow consumers to choose which model fits their needs.

In terms of display, the Yoga 900 boasts the biggest screen at 13.3 inches, followed by the Yoga 900S at 12.5 inches while the Yoga 700 is offered in either an 11-inch or 14-inch version. The Yoga 900 also has the best display with a resolution of 3200 x 1800, followed by the Yoga 900S with a 2560 x 1440 IPS panel.

Both the Yoga 900 and 700 can be configured with Intel’s latest generation Core i processors, while the 900S is built with Core M processors. All three models offer stereo speakers with Dolby Audio Premium certification.

Another interesting new product at Lenovo’s CES booth was the IdeaCentre 610S which comes with a projector module that allows users to project content into a wall.

Specs-wise, the device boasts 16GB of RAM, 2TB storage, Intel Core i7 processor, and a discrete Nvidia GeForce 750 Ti graphics card. The IdeaCentre 610S will be available starting June for $850.

Looking at the gaming department, we have the IdeaPad Y900, which promises top-notch gaming for $2000. The laptop comes equipped with the a 17.3-inch IPS panel with Full HD resolution, the latest generation Core i7 processor (that are overclockable) complemented by an Nvidia GTX 980M graphics (4GB or 8GB of VRAM), 64GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB storage.

In the connectivity department, the Y900 sports a trio of USB 3.0 ports, a USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port, an audio and mic jack, HDMI 2.0 port, a 4-in-1 card reader and a DisplayPort.

To complete the gaming experience, Lenovo has also created a curved gaming monitor – the Lenovo Y27g, a stereo headset with 50mm high-performance drivers, a gaming optical mouse with a 4000dpi optical sensor and 5 programmable buttons, and even a gaming backpack.

 The Lenovo Y900 will be available starting June 2016.

Lenovo’s doing a lot of things for its ThinkPad line on CES this year. The company has launched a number of new products at the event including an array of ThinkPad laptops, an AIO, a ThinkPad tablet and even a mobile projector.

Headlining the announcement is the ThinkPad X1 Yoga, which as the name implies belongs to the company’s convertible line of laptops. The device comes with a 14-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, a Core i7 Pro processor, Intel HD Graphics HD 520, 16GB of RAM and PCIe NVMe storage options.

The device can also come with optional LTE and features Lenovo’s WRITEit technology that allows users to use their handwriting to input characters across different apps.

The ThinkPad X1 Yoga will retail for $1,439.10 starting this month.

On the other hand, those looking for a more traditional form factor can look at the new ThinkPad X1 Carbon. The new model replaces the X1 Carbon from last year and sports Intel’s 6^th generation Core i7 vPro processor, up to 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD storage and Intel HD520 graphics.

The laptop also features a number of USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, a microSD card reader and the staple fingerprint reader for its business users. The device also comes with a 52Whr battery that should last for around 11 hours, a 720p webcam and dual-microphones.

Lenovo will start selling the new X1 Carbon starting next month for $1299.

The company is also bringing the projector from the Yoga Tab 3 Pro that was announced at IFA to its ThinkPad line with the ThinkPad X1 tablet. But unlike the Yoga slate, this model does it through the use of modules that attach to the tablet’s base.

The tablet sports a 12-inch 2K display, an adjustable kickstand, integrated speakers with Dolby Surround sound technology and supports Lenovo’s WRITEit technology.

Other modules designed for the tablet allows the device to have its own keyboard, added battery life, additional ports and even Intel’s RealSense 3D camera. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 table will also be available starting February for $899.

The company’s ThinkVision line is also getting a new member. Dubbed as the world’s slimmest 4K2K display, the Lenovo ThinkVision X1 has a 27-inch screen that allows users to see over 1 billion colors. The monitor also features 300 nits of brightness, a 1300:1 contrast ratio and a response time of 6ms.

The monitor also comes with a USB Type-C connection, a DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0, a built-in USB hub with four USB 3.0 ports, two 3-watt speakers, a dual array microphone and an integrated Full HD webcam with its own privacy cover.

Lenovo will start shipping the ThinkVision X1 by March for $799.

Lastly, we have the Lenovo ThinkCentre X1 with its 23.8-inch Full HD display. The AIO comes with an Intel Core i7 Pro processor, Windows 10 Pro operating system, integrated speakers with Dolby audio, a 1080p webcam and several options for storage and RAM.

The new ThinkCentre X1 will sell for $1029 when it becomes available in March.

It seems gaming is a recurring theme at IFA this year; and it’s mostly the Taiwanese firms that are bringing their game on. While Acer has its Predator line and Asus has Republic of Gamers, Lenovo has its Y-series.

The series’ front liner are the IdeaCentre Y900 and Y700 desktop PCs and the IdeaPad Y700 gaming laptop. The desktop PCs can be equipped with 6^th generation Core i7 processor, discrete graphic options and can accommodate future upgrades.

Both models come with NVidia’s GeForce graphics cards with the Y700 featuring the GTX 970 with 4GB of RAM while the Y900 sporting a GTX 980 also with 4GB of video RAM. Memory goes up to 32GB via four DIMM slots (64GB for the Y900) and there are four hard drive bays that is compatible with 3.5 or 2.5-inch hard drives.

Lenovo didn’t skimp on the ports either. Both the IdeaCentre Y700 and Y900 are sporting multiple USB ports both front and rear as well as HDMI, DVI and VGA ports at the back. There’s also Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, Giga LAN, a 7-in-1 card reader and 6 audio jack with SPDIF.

As for the IdeaPad Y700, the laptop can be equipped with Intel’s latest Core processors, NVidia’s GTX 960M GPU with 4GB of video RAM and up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM.

Storage options can be a mix of spinning and solid state drives. HDD options can go up to 1TB (with 512GB SSD or 8GB SSHD). Lenovo has also worked with JBL in giving the laptop some audio oomph. To be more specific, the Y700 sports two 2W JBL speakers with chamber, a 3W subwoofer and Dolby Home Theater technology.

The keyboard is backlit with red LED and has two levels of brightness. In terms of connectivity, the laptop has 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v4.0, two USB 3.0 ports, a lone USB 2.0 port, a 2-in-1 audio combo jack, an HDMI port and a 4-in-1 media card reader.

The display department is made up of a 15.6-inch frameless display with Full HD resolution (users can also upgrade into a UHD version that has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels). The screen also has anti-glare coating with 10-point multi-touch.

For a full and immersive gaming experience, Lenovo has also created several accessories including a gaming surround sound headset, a precision mouse, a mechanical switch keyboard, a mouse mat and even a gaming backpack – totaling $389.95.

The laptops will be available starting October for $949, while the IdeaCentre Y900 and Y700 will be available starting November for $1599 and $999 respectively.

Lenovo’s major announcement at IFA this year are mainly laptops that target a broad audience from business users to ordinary consumers. We’ve already featured the company’s new business-oriented laptops a few days ago, so now we’ve got the rest of Lenovo’s new products to introduce.

On one end, we have two new ThinkPad Yoga convertible business laptops – the Y260 and Y460. As the name implies, both models will have those 360-degree hinge that allows the device to go into four different modes: laptop mode, stand mode, tend mode and tablet mode.

Both models have identical specs with the exception of the display size. The Y260 boasts a 12.5-inch display while the Y460 gets a 14-inch panel. As with most ThinkPad models, the Y260 and Y460 can be configured in a multitude of ways.

Users can choose among the latest Intel Core processors, RAM can go up to 16GB (8GB max for the Y460), storage can go up to 1TB HDD or 512GB SSD and the 14-inch version can be equipped with a dedicated GPU from NVidia (with 2GB of video memory).

Battery is said to last up to 10 hours and there’s a bunch of connectivity options that come as standard including USB 3.0 ports, a Mini DisplayPort, OneLink+ and a multimedia card reader. In terms of security, both models get a Kensington lock and a fingerprint reader.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 460 and 260 will be available starting October and November respectively. The 12-inch version will sell for $949 while the Y460 will be offered for $1049.

Then there’s the Lenovo Miix 700, the newest member of the company’s consumer-friendly convertibles. In terms of looks, the Miix 700 follows the same design principle as Microsoft’s Surface Pro tablet.

The main unit houses the 12-inch display with FHD+ resolution and 300 nits of brightness. The device packs a 6^th generation Core m7 processor and can have up to 8GB of RAM. There are also two 5MP cameras, one located at the front while the other is placed at the back.

Storage can go up to 256GB (SSD) while the battery can last up to 9 hours (local video playback). The keyboard attaches magnetically to the main unit using magnets and just like in the Surface tablet, and it even folds up to raise the keyboard at a certain angle.

The kickstand at the back has the same design as the Surface Pro but the hinge makes use of Lenovo’s own “watch hinge” that allows for multi-angle positions. Lenovo is planning to ship this Miix 700 by November 2015 starting at $699.

Lenovo today unveiled a new selection of laptops that is meant for small and medium businesses. The new ThinkPad E-series of business laptops and three new S-line desktop models.

The new E-series models, which comprise the E460/E465 and the E560/E565 will sport 14 and 15.6-inch displays respectively and will come with the usual features and hardware that Lenovo installs on its business-focused Thinkpad laptops. These include the latest Intel or AMD processors, 16GB of RAM and an optional fingerprint sensor.

Both models is said to last for up to 9 hours and can come with an optional discrete graphics. Just like other models in the ThinkPad series, these laptops can be beefed up with several add-on features like 16GB of RAM and an Intel RealSense Technology 3D camera.

As for the new desktop models – the Lenovo S200z, S400Z and S500z are all AIO desktops while the S200 and S500 are small form factor tower types. The AIO models will be available in three different screen sizes – 19, 21.5 and 23 inches respectively with optional touchscreen.

On the other hand, the S200 and S500 will be your typical tower-type desktop PC that provides larger storage capability in exchange of portability. Connectivity wise, all of the desktop models will have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The Lenovo E460 and E465 will be available starting November for a little less of $550 and $500 respectively. The ThinkPad E560 and E565 will arrive at the same time as the E460/E465 models and will retail for around $549 for the E560 and $479 for the E565 model.

AS for the desktops, Lenovo hasn’t indicated any pricing and shipping information, but we’ll likely see them again before the end of the week at IFA in Germany.

Workstations aren’t really designed with consumers in mind, but they’re definitely interesting products that offer power and performance and at the same time give people an idea of what it’s like to get top-tier hardware in a familiar package.

Take for instance Lenovo’s new P50 and P70 workstations that were announced this week. Both models are packing Intel’s new Xeon chips that’s specifically designed for mobile workstations, NVidia’s quadro graphics, up to 64GB of RAM and 1TB worth of storage.

The P50 is rearing a 15.6-inch Ultra HD 4k display with X-Rite Pantone color calibration, which according to Lenovo provides a full 100-percent color gamut. The P70 on the other hand gets a 17-inch display of the same type with an option for a touchscreen.

Connectivity-wise, the Thinkpad P50 boasts a Thunderbolt 3 port, a Mini Display port, a microphone and headphone combo jack, USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi AC and a card reader. The slightly bigger P70 gets additional features like a DVD-RW drive and an extra Thunderbolt 3 port.

Both models should ship towards the end of the year with the P50 retailing at $1599 and the P70 going for $1999.
