Asus is challenging HP’s sub-$200 Stream
laptops by offering a Windows 8.1 device of its own in the same price
bracket – the Asus Eeebook X205 for $199.
The X205 sports an 11.6-inch display with a 1366 x 768
resolution and is powered by an Intel Bay Trail-T Z3735 quad-core processor
clocked at 1.33GHz. There’s also 2GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable internal
storage and Intel HD Graphics.
I/O ports include two USB 2.0 ports and a micro HDMI port.
Other notable features of the notebook include Bluetooth v4.0, a VGA webcam,
SonicMaster integrated speakers and a 38Whrs polymer battery.
