If you recently purchased a Sony Xperia Z2, then you
probably won’t like this recent leak.
A few days ago, images of what appears to be two Xperia
models pop out of the internet; the larger one is supposedly the Z3 while the
smaller one would be the Z3 compact. Based on their looks, it seems Sony’s new
flagship smartphone will have a different design with thinner bezels.
Aside from the image of the two devices, an alleged
screenshot of the bigger handset also made the rumor rounds this week. The
screenshot is from the “About” section of the phone and shows some information about
the internals of the handset.
For starters, the phone bears the model ID D6653, which is
in line with the Xperia Z2’s model ID of D65XX. Moreover, the handset will have
a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset and will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
Other than those mentioned above, little is known about the
two handsets. But we expect more details to be revealed in the future
especially if Sony is planning to make a Q3 announcement.
