ZTE is once again trying to expand its reach in the United
States by announcing a new smartphone that tries to compete with other
smartphones currently in the market. The new ZTE Axon will sell for around $450
off contract and offers consumers with quite an impressive set of specs.
For starters, it has a Snapdragon 810 chip under its hood,
which boasts a 2GHz octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable
storage. The handset is also packing a 5.5-inch QHD LCD screen, two cameras at
the back (13MP+2MP) with dual-LED flash and 4K video capture support, and an
8MP snapper on the front.
A 3000mAh battery that supports quick charging provides
power to the Axon. The phone has a metallic body that comes in three colors:
ion gold, chromium silver and phthalo blue. It also has Hi-Fi audio playback
and 4G LTE connectivity.
The phone is already available for pre-order and comes with
a free TPU case and JBL ear buds on Amazon, Newegg and eBay.
