The newest part of the Korean tech giant’s G4 smartphone
lineup has just arrived, which completes the group with its mid-range specs.
Just like the previous generation G-series, the G4 lineup will be composed of
the flagship G4, the G4 Stylus and G4c that was announced last month and now
the G4 Beat.
The G4 Beat will of course replace last year’s G3 Beat. It
comes with a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chip with a 1.5GHz octa-core processor,
1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. The display spans 5.2 inches and
sports Full HD resolution.
There’s a 5MP camera at the front for selfies and an 8MP
camera at the back (the Latin American version will have a 13MP sensor) with
laser autofocus. The phone will be powered by a 2300mAh battery and will back
4G LTE connectivity and the usual plethora of smart features including Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC.
The LG G4 Beat will be available starting next month in
three color options: metallic silver, ceramic white and shiny gold. There’s no
word yet on pricing but the phone will hit the Latin American markets first
(Brazil) before it makes its way to Canada, Russia, South Africa and Asia.
