Huawei has a new Honor smartphone in China that offers
mid-range specs in a package priced slightly above $200.
The Huawei Honor 4X which is now available for pre-order in
China for $212 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset that follows the
64-bit architecture. It has 2GB of RAM, Adreno 306 GPU and 8GB of built-in
storage that can be expanded via a microSD card.
The device comes with a 5.5-inch display with 720p resolution,
a 13MP camera at the back from Sony and a 5MP snapper at the front. Power is
supplied by a 3000mAh battery, which according to Huawei will last up to 72
hours of use. The phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with the company’s EMUI 3.0
on top.
There’s no word yet if Huawei plans to bring the 4X outside
of China. But hopefully they will.
