LG is definitely trying to steal Samsung’s thunder today
when the company released additional information about the three G
Pad tablets (which we saw last month
posted on the company’s website) coinciding with Samsung’s Tab of Color event
in New York City.
Again, there will be three new models in the G Pad range,
namely the G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0 and the G Pad 10.1. All three models will have
a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a microSD card slot and a 1.3MP
front-facing camera.
The 7-inch model will have 8GB of storage, a 3MP rear
snapper and a 4000mAh battery. Meanwhile, the 8-inch version will have 16GB of
storage, a 5MP rear camera and a 4200mAh battery. And finally, the 10-inch
model gets to go home with 16GB worth of storage, a 5MP rear camera and an 8000mAh
power pack.
The tablets will run on Android 4.4 Kitkat and will also have some of LG’s proprietary software
including KnockCode, Smart Keyboard and QPair 2.0 multi-tasking feature. There’s
no word yet on pricing and availability but we’ll definitely keep an eye out
for more announcements from LG.
