Remember that gilded budget Lenovo
smartphone that leaked last month? That same handset popped out of an
online retailer’s website - VOPmart along with details of its specs and price.
The Lenovo Golden Warrior S8 is built around a 5.3-inch LTPS
display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels protected by a layer of Gorilla
Glass. Under the hood, there’s a MediaTek chipset with a 1.4 quad-core CPU, 2GB
of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
There’s also a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash as well as
a front-facing 5MP snapper. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi b/g/n,
Bluetooth, 3G connectivity and dual-SIM card slots. The S8 also comes with a
2000mAh battery which should last for 2 days on standby.
The Lenovo Golden Warrior S8 will run on Android 4.2 Jelly
Bean and should retail in China for around $200. Sadly, there’s no word yet on
when Lenovo will launch the phone and if the company will bring this to other
markets.
