A recent report by Android Police showed leaked images of
what seems to be Android’s typical user interface but with new icons.
The leaked images were discovered by Android Police, which
according to reports were known internally as “moonshine” and boasts similar
designs with icons that Google is currently using on its other services (most
notably web services) and are reminiscent of the flat UI design of Windows
Phone and iOS7.
Some of the apps whose redesigned icons were seen on the
leaked images include Google Play Music, Book, Movies, Games, Google Plus,
Google Calendar, People. Chrome, YouTube, Google Maps, Camera and the Google
Play Store.
At the moment there’s no way to be sure if the leaked
redesign will be implemented on Android. And since design-based changes often
change even up to the last minute, there’s still a chance that we might not see
these new icons after all.
However, some of the icons in the leak were reportedly seen
on the search giant’s Partner page, which sort of confirms its existence. We
just don’t know if this icons will make it to Android.
