The supposed premium, metal-clad Android smartphone by
Korean tech giant Samsung – the Galaxy F has been mentioned several times when
the Galaxy S5 and Note III were just lurking in the tech space as rumours. But
both flagship models are now out in the market and yet the Galaxy F is still
nowhere to be found.
That is, until recently when a leaked image of a handset
that fits the description of the Galaxy F was posted online. The image was
courtesy of @windyleaks and was initially reported by BGR; and shows off a
handset that likely has a 5.2-inch display.
The Galaxy F’s screen is said to offer 2K resolution or
approximately 2560 x 1440 pixels, giving it the best screen in any existing
Samsung Galaxy phone. The handset in the leaked image is enclosed in a black
casing so it’s hard to verify how much metal was used in the construction of
the phone (or if it’s actually built from metal).
The premium handset will also reportedly pack a quad-core
Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 16MP rear camera. Other than those
mentioned above, details about the Galaxy F remain in murky waters. So we’ll
just have to wait for more news from Samsung.
