There isn’t really a shortage of luxury smartphones in the
market. And although they often have a very tight niche audience, the number of
manufacturers that are choosing to manufacture luxury handsets seems to be on
the rise. Take for instance Bellperre which recently announced its new Android
phone – the Bellperre Touch.
The Dutch manufacturer has built the Touch with modest specs
giving it a lower price tag than its rivals. The handset boasts a 4.9-inch 720p
Super AMOLED display that’s protected by a layer of sapphire crystal.
Under the hood, there’s a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of
RAM, and 4GB of built-in storage. At the back, there’s an 8MP camera with 1080p
video recording, while a 1.9MP selfie camera sits on the handset’s front. There’s
also NFC, Bluetooth v4.0 and LTE connectivity.
The Bellperre Touch will go on sale staring at €2600 for the
buffalo leather version, while the model with alligator skin will fetch for
€3000.
