Two smartphones from two manufacturers have made the headlines
today. On one hand, there’s the alleged successor to the highly popular Asus
Zenfone line, while on the other, there’s a handset from Nokia that spells the
return of the Finnish brand into the manufacturing of smartphones after the
Microsoft acquisition.
On Asus’ side, the leaked image of the upcoming Zenfones
suggests that the handset will have a dual-camera setup at the back. There’s no
information yet on how the phone will use the two cameras but the teaser did
mention that the company will make the announcement at CES by January of next
year.
On the other hand, a leaked image of what seems to be a
Nokia handset powered by Android. Dubbed as the Nokia C1, the device will have
an Intel-made chipset, a 5-inch 720p display, 32GB of internal storage, an
8MP+5MP camera combo and Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
The smartphone will of course have the company’s launcher and will be manufactured by Foxconn
as the company is prohibited from building smartphones as per its contract with
Microsoft.
