Lenovo has just announced a new smartphone in China that
seems to be competing against China’s very own Xiaomi Redmi 1S in terms of
target market and distribution strategy. The Lenovo K3 Music Lemon will
expectedly be sold on JD – an online retailer in the country.
The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 410 chip with a
1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage with room
for expansion via a microSD card. It also has a 5-inch 720p IPS display and an
8MP+2MP camera combo.
Other notable features of the K3 include LTE connectivity, a
2300mAh battery and Waves Maxx Audio sound technology. The phone will be
offered with a price tag of less than $100 most likely exclusively in China
under JD.com.
