6.0-inch Huawei Ascend GX1 Goes Official

The year isn’t over yet for Huawei as the company has just introduced a new phablet – the Ascend GX1. The phablet is built around a 6-inch HD IPS display but unlike other 6-inch tablets in the market, the Ascend GX1 has very thin side bezels that give it a screen-to-body ratio of 80.5%.

Performance is supplied by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chip with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. There’s also support for Bluetooth, NFC, LTE connectivity and of course Wi-Fi.

The phablet also comes with two SIM card slots, a 3500mAh battery, and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Huawei has made the phablet available to China for around $225 but there’s no word yet if the company will ship the device into other markets.
