Alcatel has unveiled a new midrange phone for consumers who
like to post a lot of photos on Instagram. The new Alcatel Fierce XL will be
launched in the United States via MetroPCS and T-Mobile for $139.
The phone packs a 5.5-inch IPS display with 720 p resolution
(~267ppi) and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset with a 1.1GHz
quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable onboard storage.
There’s also LTE connectivity (supports VoLTE), HD voice and
Wi-Fi calling, a 2500mAh battery and an 8MP+2MP camera combo which features
Polaroid’s photo editing software. The bundled software should allow users to
enable a variety of filters and different modes while snapping different photos.
The Alcatel Fierce XL will be available starting today
(November 2) for MetroPCS subscribers and will be available to T-Mobile subscribers
towards the end of the year.
