Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has recently unveiled a new
model under its Butterfly phablet series – the HTC Butterfly 3, which closely
resembles the J Butterfly that was announced last year.
The phone comes with a 5.2-inch QHD display and runs a
Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable onboard storage.
HTC has put a 20.2MP camera at the back that’s partnered
with a secondary sensor to capture distance information. This kind of setup
which the company calls Duo setup allows for post-shot autofocusing and other
effects. The camera also boasts a crystal-protected f/2.2 lens and dual-tone
LED flash. The front-facing snapper has a 13MP BSI sensor and an f/2.0
aperture and can record full HD videos.
It also comes with a 2700mAh battery, Android 5.0 Lollipop
and IP57 certification. The phone will be available starting October 20 for
around $600. There’s no word yet on pricing and availability for other markets
has not been disclosed yet.
