Google Pixel C is the Android Tablet of our Dreams

Google recently unveiled a new Android tablet called the Pixel C that promises one of the purest Android experience one can get on a slate. The device was developed in house and much like its Chromebook brother, the Google Pixel, has stellar specs that blasts other Android tablets in the market out of the water.

For starters, the device’s 10.2-inch display boasts a resolution of 2560 x 1800 pixels (which gives it a screen density of 308ppi). It also has a NVidia Tegra X1 chip with a quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and a Maxwell GPU.

The Pixel C takes a jab at the iPad Pro and the Surface 3 Pro can be offered with a detachable keyboard for maximum productivity. Just like its rivals from Apple and Microsoft, the Pixel C’s keyboard makes use of magnets and is fully adjustable. Moreover, the keyboard doubles as a cover when not in use and is recharged wirelessly by the tablet itself.

There’s no word yet on availability and release dates but Google has confirmed that the pricing will start at $499 for the 32GB version and $599 for the 64GB version. On the other hand, the optional keyboard will retail for an additional $149.
