It’s becoming a tradition for some manufacturers at IFA to
jump the gun on product announcements even before the event starts. Today, we
saw a Taiwanese brand Acer introduced a number of new products that adds to its
existing line of smartphones, tablets and computers.
The first three products we’ll look at today will be the company’s
newest Android phones – the Liquid Z630, Z330 and Z350.
The Z630 features a MediaTek MT6735 chip with a 1.3GHz
quad-core processor, a Mali-T720GPU, up to 2GB of RAM and up to 16GB of
on-board storage. The two phones also comes with 5.5-inch displays with HD
resolution.
There’s an 8MP+8MP camera combo and a 4000mAh battery. There’s
going to be an S-variant for the Z630 which will pack 3GB of RAM and 32GB of
storage.
For those who need a smaller device, there’s the Z530 which
boasts a 5-inch 720p display. It sports a MediaTek Mt6735 chip with up to 2GB
of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. There’s also a small dts speaker at the
back that is said to deliver improved sound.
Just like the Z630, the Z530 will be offered in an S-version
that bumps up the RAM and storage to 3GB and 32GB respectively.
Lastly, there’s the Liquid Z330, a 4.5-inch phone that
sports a Snapdragon 210 chip with 1GB of RAM. The screen boasts a resolution of
854 x 480 pixels while the optics will be a 5MP+5MP camera combo.
All three phones will be available starting this month with
the Liquid Z630 to sell for around $220, the Z530 for around $167 and the Z330
to cost around $145 before taxes and subsidies.
