Sony has finally unveiled the new Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia
M5 smartphones, and there’s a lot of be happy about especially when it comes to
the two devices’ features. More specifically, their cameras.
On one end, the Xperia C5 Ultra is packing a 13MP autofocus camera
on the front and the back. The front snapper has an LED flash like the Xperia
C3 and also comes with a 22mm wide-angle lens to enable users to cram more
people into the selfie frame. On the other hand, the Xperia M5 is sporting a
21MP+13MP camera configuration.
Under the hood, the C5 Ultra comes equipped with a 6-inch
display with a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, runs on a 1.7GHz
octa-core processor, gets 2GB of RAM and boasts 16GB of expandable storage.
Power is supplied by a 2930mAh battery, which according to Sony can last up to
two days.
Meanwhile, the Xperia M5 is sporting a smaller screen at
5-inches with the same Full HD resolution as the C5 Ultra. It’s also packing
the new MediaTek Helio X10 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage
and a 2600mAh battery. The phone is also IP67 certified.
Both phones will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop and will be available
by mid-August. We don’t have details yet on pricing for the two models, but it’s
likely that they will be in the mid-range segment just like their predecessors.
