If the LG G Pad II 8.0 was meant to be the tablet for
students, then the G Pad II 10.1 is the one for the serious takers or for the
hardworking employee who saves up his salary to buy a high-powered tablet.
Looking at the tablet’s specs, it’s not that hard to like
the G Pad II 10.1. The slate (as the name suggests) sports a 10.1-inch WUXGA
display (1920 x 1200 pixels), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip with a 2.2GHz
quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
The device also comes with a 5MP rear camera, a 2MP selfie
camera at the front, a 7400mAh battery and LTE connectivity. LG has also
installed a number of useful software and apps on the device including a Reader
mode which reduces the blue light of the display backlight in order to reduce
eye fatigue and blurred vision.
There’s also a QuickMemo+, which if you’ve already guessed
it gives users the ability to instantly take notes and share them from any
screen without the need to open a separate application. The tablet also comes
by default with Microsoft Office for Android with a bundled 100GB of free
OneDrive storage for two years.
LG promises that the G Pad II 10.1 will be available for
viewing at LG’s booth at IFA next week. Details of price and availability will
also be announced during the event.
