If you’re looking for a device with a large screen and a
metal back, then Huawei’s new M2 tablet is probably one of your best shot. The
Chinese tech giant has just unveiled the successor of the MediaPad
M1 from MWC of last year.
The new M2 has an 8-inch IPS display with a resolution of
1920 x 1200 pixels. Huawei used its own Kirin 930 chipset that features an
octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and either 16GB or 64GB of onboard storage.
The back of the device is made from metal with the back
housing the 8MP main camera and the 4800mAh battery. There’s also a 2MP snapper
on the front and a 1W Harman/Kardon-enhanced speaker.
The 16GB Wi-Fi only version of the M2 starts at $256 while
the higher end 64GB LTE version will cost around $367 starting this week.
