Remember the overly expensive Regal
smartphone from Gresso that was unveiled last year? Well, it’s getting a
gold version that’s even more expensive than the $5000 base model.
The Gresso Regal Gold will be made in limited quantities –
999 to be specific. It will come with 18k yellow gold inserts in which the
phone’s individual number will be engraved. The device’s body will be made from
golden PVD-coated titanium which takes 8 hours to create. The back panel of the
device is treated with directional polishing which is manually crafted by a
single craftsman for 3 hours.
Under the hood, there’s a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of
RAM and 32GB of storage. There’s also 3G connectivity, a 13MP rear camera with
LED flash, a 5MP front-facing camera and a 5-inch Full HD display covered in
Gorilla Glass.
Anyone interested in getting the phone will have to shell
out at the very least $6000.
