A few days ago, Samsung held its annual developer conference
where the Korean tech giant showcased its latest products and innovations.
The company was particularly focused on its software
innovations during the event. On one hand there’s Samsung Flow, which allows
the company’s various connected products to communicate with each other more
effectively much like the “Continuity”
feature on Apple’s Mac OS Yosemite.
The Samsung Flow can be used in three different ways. First,
it lets you transfer files or do an activity from one device to another.
Second, users can defer an activity or task and lastly a notification, which
let users view notifications on any connected Samsung device. The SDK is now available
to developers.
On the other hand, the Samsung Developer Conference also
became the venue where the company announced that the reference version of the SIMBAND
platform, which was introduced a few months ago.
There’s also going to be a new developer platform and SDK
called the Samsung Digital Health Platform for the company’s health-oriented
products. This new developer tools will be connected to the company’s cloud
server and accounts to assist in tracking personal health info of its users.
