Chipmaker Qualcomm is letting a few developers take its
upcoming SoC – the Snapdragon 810 for a test drive using two devices under its
Mobile Development Platform.
On one hand, there’s a 6.2-inch phablet with QHD display
(with a screen density of 490ppi), 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 4MP+13MP
camera combo, a 3020mAh battery and other Qualcomm tech like Quick Charge 2.0
and VIVE 2-stream Wi-Fi. On the other hand, there’s a 10.1-inch panel with a
resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a 7560mAh power pack with the same
featured specs as the phablet.
Of course, both devices will have the upcoming Snapdragon
810 chip with a 64-bit octa-core processor, an Adreno 430 GPU and the Hexagon
V56 DSP. Qualcomm-approved developers can purchase the phone and the tablet for
$799 and $999 respectively. As for the rest of us, we just have to wait for the
official release of the chip.
