If you’re looking for a smartwatch that you can wear on
those black tie events and don’t think that the Moto
360 or the LG
G Watch R are stylish enough then HP’s new Chronowing can be a viable
option for you.
The Chronowing is a joint project between HP and American
designer Michael Bastian. And unlike the Withing
Activite, which we saw back in June, this watch has a display panel that
shows the user various notifications including emails, texts and calendar
events as well as provide users with a remote control for media playback.
According to HP, the watch has a battery life that can last
up to a week. It is also water resistant up to 5ATM. In terms of construction,
the smartwatch is crafted from stainless steel and comes with an alligator
leather strap featuring a stainless steel butterfly clasp. If you’ don’t like
the black leather, there’s also three other options for the watch including: perforated
leather, nylon and rubber.
The Chronowing connects to devices running on Android OS 4.3
or higher and iPhones beginning with the iPhone 4S. The watch will be available
starting November 7th starting at $349.
