HTC has already announced the Desire
820 back in September at IFA, though that one’s running a Qualcomm
Snapdragon chip. Today, the Taiwanese smartphone maker is introducing another
version of the Desire 820 but this time, its running a 64-bit MediaTek chipset.
The Desire 820s will have a 64-bit octa-core processor
clocked at 1.7GHz and a Mali-T760 GPU instead of the Adreno 405 in the
Snapdragon version.
Naturally the design as well as majority of the components
of the Qualcomm version will be the same in this version including its 5.5-inch
HD display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 13MP+8MP camera combo and
LTE connectivity.
Theres no word on pricing yet, but it’s very likely that it
will be priced at the same range if not slightly higher than the Desire 820.
