Sony is now toe-to-toe with other Chinese brands such as Huawei
with its Xperia C3 smartphone – a handset for selfies addicts.
The Xperia C3 packs a 5.5-inch IPS display with Sony’s
Mobile Bravia Engine 2. Under the hood, there’s a Snapdragon 400 chipset with a
1.2GHz quad-core processor, an Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable
storage. There’s also support for two SIM cards (with dual-standby) and Cat4
LTE.
But of course, the most interesting feature of the Xperia C3
would be its camera equipment. At the back is where the 8MP snapper is located
alongside a LED flash. While on the front is a 5MP camera with a “Soft” LED
flash that should give good lighting for selfies.
The front camera also features Superior Auto mode that
detects current conditions to automatically adjust camera settings, so users
won’t have to worry about selfies with improper exposure levels.
The Sony Xperia C3 will be available starting in August in
different color options including white, black and mint colors.
