Nokia has just announced the successor to its highly
successful entry-level Windows Phone – the Nokia Lumia 530.
The phone is built around a 4-inch LCD display with an 854 x
480 pixel resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The chipset installed on the
Lumia 530 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and an
Adreno 302 GPU. RAM is still at 512MB while internal storage capacity has been
reduced to 4GB (supports microSD card).
Nokia has installed a 5MP fixed focus camera at the back of
the handset with a 1/4" sensor that records 854 x 480 videos. The phone
will also have a 1430mAh battery and will run on Windows Phone 8.1 out of the
box.
The Lumia 530 will come have a single-SIM and a dual-SIM
versions. It will be available starting August for around $115.
