Samsung is bringing fast connectivity to the masses by announcing
a number of handsets equipped with LTE radios. Take for example the Galaxy Core Lite. The phone features a
4.7-inch display with a WVGA (480 x 800) resolution. Under the hood, the
handset boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with a quad-core Cortex-A7
processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage.
The Galaxy Core Lite will pack the usual mix of connectivity
features including Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and microUSB
2.0.
There’s a 5MP camera at the rear and a 2000mAh battery. The
phone runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box with of course Samsung’s
TouchWiz UX on top. Obviously, the Galaxy Core Lite is meant for emerging
markets and as such will have a very affordable price tag - $265 to be precise.
