Huawei Honor 6 Now Official

Huawei’s previously rumoured Mulan smartphone is now official as the company’s top tier Honor 6 model.

The device is meant as the company’s answer to other flagship smartphones in the market such as the Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8; and as such comes with killer specs. For starters, the Honor 6 is equipped with Huawei’s very own Kirin 920 chip with two quad-core processors, a Mali-T624 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of expandable internal storage.

The phone’s 5-inch display is from JDI and boasts Full HD resolution and a screen density of 445 ppi. The display is able to occupy over 75% of the phone’s front thanks to its very thin bezels.

Connectivity-wise the Honor 6 carries the typical set of connectivity features including Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi, and Cat 6 LTE connectivity that offers up to 300Mbps downlink speed.

The Honor 6 also comes equipped with a 13MP camera with dual-LED flash and Sony’s IMX214 sensor and f/2.0 aperture lens. The front-facing camera has a 5MP sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The phone will be powered by a 3100mAh battery and will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Huawei will offer the Honor 6 in the coming weeks for $359.90 in either black or white.
