Samsung’s NX line of interchangeable lens cameras is
becoming quite a mix of different form factors and types from the slim NX
Mini to the Android-packing Galaxy
NX. Today, the Korean manufacturer has announced a new member of the NX
line that’s designed for midrange consumers.
Designed as a step up from the NX Mini in terms of specs,
design and pricing, the NX3000 packs a 20.3MP APS-C sensor and offers an ISO
range of 100-25600 and a maximum shutter speed of 1/4000 seconds.
Similar to other cameras in the NX range, the NX3000 also
comes equipped with NFC and Wi-Fi for pairing with mobile devices. There’s a
3-inch HVGA display at the back of the camera that can be tilted to give
photographers more flexibility when taking photos.
The Samsung NX3000 will be offered with either of two lenses
– a 16-50mm f3.5-5.6 stabilized power zoom lens valued as a $529 bundle or with
a 20-50mm kit lens for $479. The camera will be offered in three colours –
black, white and brown and will be available starting in June.
