If LG was trying to keep details of the G3 a secret, then
this most recent leak can be considered as a major disaster.
Today, images of what seems to be a presentation of an LG
preview event for the G3 went live on the internet that details the phone’s
specifications. According to the said images, the G3 will have a 5.5-inch QHD
IPS display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of on-board
storage (although the specific model discussed in the slide deck is the Korean
version) that can be expanded via a microSD card and a 3000mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity and camera features, the G3 will
sport Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS (with possible GLONASS support), a 13MP rear
camera with an Optical Image Stabilization and a 2.1MP front-facing camera.
Moreover, the G3 will reportedly have improvements in terms
of audio and video equipment. On one hand there’s a 1-watt speaker that should
help the phone appeal more to music lovers much like HTC’s BoomSound speakers.
LG is also adding a few features to the G3’s camera that
should be a welcome edition for those who love taking selfies.
The first feature would be a gesture-based shutter control that instructs the phone to take a photo when a user clenches their palm into a fist. The other addition would be a hardware addition in the form of a laser-like implement placed besides the rear camera that is expected to help in improving focusing performance.

The LG G3 is expected to be unveiled next week during the
company’s two-day event but with this recent leak it feels like much of the
phone’s details are already known.
