Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi announced this week that it
will be bringing its line of Android-powered handsets to 10 new markets this
year.
According to the company’s CEO Lei Jun, Xiaomi will begin
sales in large developing markets such as India, Brazil, Russia and Mexico.
Moreover, it will also ship products in countries across Southeast Asia such as
Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.
The company is planning to expand internationally and has a
goal to increase its sales to 100 million handsets by 2015.
