Samsung Trims Down the Galaxy S4 Zoom

Samsung’s first camera phone, the Galaxy S4 Zoom wasn’t really the success story that the Korean tech giant hoped for, mostly because that 10x optical zoom lens (as well as the small grip) have made the smartphone quite difficult to handle. Now it seems, Samsung has learned its lesson and has made the necessary adjustments with the alleged successor of the S4 Zoom.

Today, an image of the supposed Galaxy S5 Zoom surfaced on the internet showing off a slimmer profile. The new phone will allegedly be called the Galaxy K Zoom which features the same 10x optical zoom (24-240mm) as the S4 Zoom but packs a higher 20MP resolution compared to the 16MP of its predecessor.

The rest of the specs of the Galaxy K zoom include a 4.8-inch HD display and either a 1.6GHz quad-core processor or an Exynos hexa-core processor. Of course the phone will run on Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top.
