Nokia is now slowly getting its groove back as a leading
mobile phone manufacturer thanks to its newest line of Windows Phone-, Asha-
and Android-powered handsets. But it looks like the Finnish company is still
putting some bets on bare bone handsets as it released this week the Nokia 225
and 225 Dual-SIM.
The two handsets boasts relatively identical specs with the
exception of course with the number of SIM cards they can accommodate. The 225s
pack the largest non-touch LCD screen Nokia has put in a phone at 2.8-inches
and at QVGA resolution.
Nokia has also made both phones internet-friendly and comes
preloaded with Facebook, Twitter, Bing Search and Nokia’s Xpress Browser that
compresses data improving loading speeds and at the same time lowers data
usage.
Both phones also feature a microSD card slot that supports
up to 32GB cards, a 2MP camera at the back, a FM radio and Bluetooth v3.0 with
SLAM – a file sharing solution similar to NFC.
The phone offers up to 36 days of standby time with its
1200mAh battery. The phone will be offered in different colour options
including yellow, green, black and white and should be available in select
markets within the next three months for 40 euros.
