Samsung has already released the Galaxy S5, while HTC and
Sony are just about ready to deliver the One M8 and Xperia Z2 to consumers. So
it’s now time for LG to take the spotlight and give us an update to its current
flagship smartphone – with the G3.
Today, screenshots reportedly taken directly from an LG G3
handset surfaced online. And based on the leaked images, the new handset will
have a redefined version of the company’s Optimus UI.

Just like Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, this version of the LG skin
overlay features a flatter and cleaner look. Almost all the elements of the UI
including its launcher, icons and notification drawer will have a less
cluttered look. For instance, the quick setting toggles on the notification
drawer are now rounded drawn with thin lines.
As for specs, the G3 is expected to have a Qualcomm
Snapdragon 801 SoC with a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of
expandable internal memory. The handset will also have a 5.5-inch QHD display
and a 3000mAh battery.
