Phone has just been released so it’s almost a given that the phones that are
rocking the new OS will also make their debut at the launch event. And just
like the Nexus brand in the Android community, it’s the Lumia phones that are
getting the latest version of windows Phone.
In fact, the Finnish company announced three new Lumia devices today at Microsoft’s annual BUILD developer conference in San Francisco. Leading the trio is the Lumia 930, which by the looks of its specs sheet will become the company’s latest flagship device.

The Lumia 930 is built around a 5-inch Full HD display with
ClearBlack (AMOLED) display technology and features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800
chip with a 2.2GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board
storage.
It also has a 20MP PureView camera with a 1/2.5-inch BSI
sensor, an f/2.4 aperture lens, optical image stabilization and dual-LED flash.
It can also capture full resolution photos and scale them down to much
manageable 5MP pictures for easier sharing and comes preloaded with various
photography apps including Nokia Camera, Creative Studio, and Cinemagraph to
name a few.
The Lumia 930 also comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth v4.0, NFC, USB 2.0 and LTE Cat4 connectivity. In terms of dimensions, the handset is less than 10mm in thickness and tips the scale at 167 grams. It also comes with a 2420mAh battery that can be charged wirelessly.
Now for those looking to get windows Phone 8.1 on a lighter
budget, two more affordable handsets were also presented by Nokia – the Nokia
Lumia 630 and Lumia 635.
Both phones feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip with a
1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory and a microSD card
slot for storage expansion. The device also boasts a 4.5” FWVGA display with
ClearBlack (IPS) LCD underneath a Gorilla Glass 3 panel. There’s also a 5MP main
camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0 and microUSB port.
The main difference between the two models is the data
speed, the Lumia 635 will have LTE connectivity while the slightly more
affordable Lumia 630 will only have 3G connectivity. Moreover, the Lumia 630
will provide a dual-SIM option to consumers to make it more attractive for
buyers especially in emerging markets.
The Nokia Lumia 930 will be available starting in June in Europe, Asia Middle East and India for approximately $599. On the other hand, the Lumia 630 and 635 will star shipping this May for $159 and $169 respectively initially in Europe, Asia, Russia and China.
