If the HTC
One M9 is a tad small for you, HTC is also offering a bigger version of its
flagship model which it announced earlier today in Beijing. The Plus sign on
the handset’s name actually equates to an additional 0.2-inch in display size
as the One M9+ comes with a 5.2-inch screen with QHD resolution.
HTC has installed a MediaTek MT6795T chip with a 2.2GH
octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. The camera setup
is different from the base M9 though, as this model is reverting to the
dual-camera setup from the One M8.
At the back, there’s a 20MP camera with a secondary f/2.2 camera
on top for depth sensing. There’s also an UltraPixel camera on the front for
quality photos even in low-light conditions. As with other One handsets, the
M9+ sports the company’s BoomSound speakers with Dolby Surround sound support.
A fingerprint sensor is also located at the bottom of the
front-side of the device that reportedly support AliPay payment system in China.
The handset also has a 2840mAh battery and will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
HTC will offer the M9+ in different color options including gunmetal grey,
amber gold and silver gold.
We haven’t received information about the device’s price and
target date for availability.
