Dell has quietly announced a new tablet, which it plans to
offer business users. Placed between the Dell Venue
11 Pro and Venue
8, the Dell Venue 10 7000 packs a 10.5-inch display with a resolution of
2560 x 1600 pixels.
The tablet has the same form factor as the Venue 11 Pro with
a cylindrical edge that holds most of the device’s major components including
its Intel Atom processor, 32GB of on-board storage and its battery. The Venue
10 also comes with Intel’s RealSense 3D camera setup with an 8MP rear camera
combined with stereoscopic 720p cameras for depth sensing.
As the tablet is intended for business use, Dell has
installed Android for Work on the Venue 10, which means that companies can
choose to restrict the types of apps that can be installed on the device, as
well as compartmentalizing data between personal and work data.
The Dell Venue 10 will be available towards the end of April
for $499 without the Bluetooth keyboard and around $630 for the complete
bundle.
