Apart from the Galaxy S series (and currently the E and A
series), Samsung also has other product lines that have enjoyed success in the
past. These include the Galaxy Star, Grand and Core to name a few. And although
they don’t get the same amount of attention and love from the Korean tech
giant, they do get some much needed TLC.
At the back, there’s a 5MP camera that’s capable of
capturing underwater photos, and there’s a 2MP front snapper for selfies. As
with its predecessor, the device has MIL-STD 810G and IP67 certification, which
means it’s as tough as smartphone can go.
The handset also comes with a 2200mAh battery, Android 4.4
KitKat, an altimeter, compass, GPS sensors and LTE connectivity.
Then we have the Galaxy Win 2. The device of course replaces
the original Galaxy
Win (whose announcement was actually our first post J), unfortunately, there’s not
much to expect from the new handset. The device still goes with a 1.2GHz
quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage and a 2000mAh
battery.
What’s new though is the front-facing camera, which has now been
bumped into a 2MP sensor from the original’s VGA. The screen is also now
smaller at 4.5-inches from 4.7-inches of the original. Furthermore, there’s now
4G radio installed on the device as well as an option for digital TV.
The Galaxy Win 2 is now available in Brazil for around $249.
