Huawei’s MWC keynote this year isn’t as ostentatious as that
of last year where the company announced several new
models, but nonetheless the two new models they showcased this year aren’t pushovers.

On one end, there’s the Huawei MediaPad X2, a 7-inch tablet
that comes with LTE connectivity, a Kirin 930 chipset with a 2.0GHz octa-core
processor. The tablet will come in two versions: a 16GB model with 2GB of RAM
and a 32GB version with 3GB of memory.
There’s also a 13MP camera at the back that goes with a 5MP
selfie camera. The tablet will be powered by a 5000mAh battery and will run on
Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The company also announced an entry-level LTE-enabled
smartphone, the Y635. The device has a 5-inch display with FWVGA resolution, a
1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of expandable storage.

At the back, there’s a 5MP camera with a single LED flash
while power is supplied by a 2000mAh battery. We don’t have word yet on pricing
but it will likely have a similar price tag to that of the Ascend
Y540 we saw last week which retails for around €100.
