Believe it or not, the Xperie E-series is now on its fourth
year. And just a few hours ago, the Japanese tech giant unveiled the Xperia E4.
The phone is actually a step-up from the E3. And just like
other smartphone makers, Sony is now making larger phones even for its
entry-level offerings. The Xperia E4 is sporting a 5-inch display with a
resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and is protected by scratch-resistant glass.
There’s also a 5MP camera at the back that is capable of
capturing 1080p video. The 2MP on the other hand can go with 720p recording,
which can be stored into the phone’s 8GB on board storage that can be expanded
by a microSD card.
Peeking under the hood, there’s a MediaTek chip with a
1.3GHz processor, a Mali-400MP2 GPU, 3G connectivity, support for two SIM cards
(there’s also a single-SIM model), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, FM radio and other
audio enhancing features.
No pricing and availability information are available at the
moment but we’ll soon find out more as retailers get more details about the
handset.
