LG just jump started the hype for Mobile World Congress by
announcing four new smartphone today – the LG Magna, Spirit, Leon and Joy.
The quartet is expected to go official next week in
Barcelona alongside the LG Watch Urbane we saw a couple of weeks ago. The Magna
will have a 5.0-inch 720p display, an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing
camera, a quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of on-board storage.
On the other hand, the slightly smaller Spirit packs a
4.7-inch 720p display, a 2100mAh battery and the same quad-core processor, 1GB
of RAM and 8GB of storage as the Magna.
A couple of notches down, we’ve got the LG Leon and Joy. The
Leon comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display while the Joy goes with a 4-inch WVGA
screen. Both phones get either a quad-core or dual-core processor depending on
market, 1GB or 512MB of RAM and 4GB or 8GB of expandable storage
Moreover, both phones will have a 1900mAh battery. Operating
system is either Android 5.0 Lollipop or Android 4.4 KitKat while connectivity
options include 3G and LTE variants depending on which market LG will push it
to.
