Huawei has recently announced a new budget handset that’s
headed to Europe – the Huawei Ascend Y540.
Priced at around €100, the handset sports a Snapdragon 200
chipset with a 1.3GH dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of onboard storage
that can be expanded using a microSD card. There’s also a 1950mAh battery as
well as Android KitKat out of the box.
The Y540 boasts a 4.5-inch display with a 480x854 pixels and
a 5MP+3MP camera combo. Connectivity-wise, the smartphone comes with 3G
connectivity and the usual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios.
