Businesses are now going mobile and companies are now
requiring computing solutions that are very portable but are still capable and of
course connected. Intel recognizes this shift in demand and as such has created
solutions for mobile enterprises – more specifically, its 5th
generation Core vPro processors.
The latest version of Core vPro CPUs will sport features
that offer wireless innovations, built-in security, faster performance and
improved manageability. Intel is offering businesses with solutions under three
categories – hardware, wireless display and wireless docking.
The chip maker is offering businesses with various hardware options
including innovative 2-in-1s, Ultrabooks, ultra-thin clamshells and mini PCs
that provide improved performance while reducing their weight and dimensions.
Intel is also making available its Pro Wireless Display (WiDi)
technology to enterprises, allowing businesses to wirelessly beam presentations
and other media during meetings. It also supports key IT requirements such as
wireless channel management (helps lessen network congestion and manage
security vulnerabilities) and the ability to efficiently update adapters
remotely.
There’s also a Wireless Docking technology that should help
businesses securely connect their devices to wireless peripherals in the office
such as mice, keyboards, monitors and USB accessories.
The latest generation Core vPro processors also provide businesses
with hardware-enhanced security and manageability capabilities. These include
built-in data encryption technologies such as Intel Identity Protection and
Intel Active Management Technology.
