If you’re a fan of classic and traditional mechanical
watches but would like to get some smart features, there’s not much for you to
choose from. But don’t lose hope, Montblanc has come up with a compromise that
will allow you to get the best of both worlds.
The company is making an “e-Strap” to go with its Timewalker
Urban Speed Collection, bringing the typical slew of smartwatch features to its
fully mechanical time piece. The e-Strap features a 0.9-inch monochromatic OLED
touchscreen panel that provides users with notifications, a remote camera
trigger and remote music controls.
The device connects to an iPhone or Android phone via
Bluetooth and comes with a companion app that collects all of a user’s data
into one place. The e-Strap is expected to sell for around $300.
