Alcatel is already setting the stage for its various
announcements at CES. The smartphone maker has just unveiled two devices that
are meant for the budget-conscious market.
On one hand there’s the OneTouch Pixi 3, a budget
smartphone, which according to Alcatel can run on three operating systems –
Android, Windows Phone and Mozilla’s Firefox OS. The handset will be offered in
four sizes, a 3.5”, 4”, 4.5” and a 5.0”. However, Alcatel did not mention how
the phone will able to get 3 OS in its hardware but it’s very likely that
consumers will have 3 options for each of the sizes.
As for the specs, Alcatel hasn’t provided the complete
details of the handset’s innards, so that information might have to wait until
next week until the handset is officially unveiled at CES.
On the other side of the lot, there’s the Alcatel OneTouch
Watch. Just like the Pixi 3, Alcatel is trying to reach into the entry-level
market for wearables. There’s nothing much we know about the smartwatch but
looking at the images, the device is going to sport a circular face much like
the LG G Watch R and will come with different strap options.
